Penang, 2013

shiham had a job in perlis and penang and me being in a semester break had indeed took the chance to follow him up north. it was a long weekend at that particular time in december, though i cannot recall what the occasion was.

the first job was at perlis, so naturally we stayed at my aunt’s place at kampung guru, kangar. i love going back to perlis. i love spending time with my aunties and cousins. fortunately, shiham managed to finish his work in perlis in one day. on the second night of the trip, we headed for penang.

the bad thing about following your hubby around to work is you usually would spend the whole day cooped up in the hotel room. fortunately, cititel penang was a nice place to stay.. it was not five star though. but i must emphasise that the breakfast buffet was five stars too me 🙂

on the second night in penang, we went around the town walking! cititel was located at a convenient distance from KOMTAR. i know i was pregnant and all but i managed. as a reward for my hard work, i treated myself to ice cream when we arrived at KOMTAR. later, we decided to take the beca around the town. i was getting tired already. it was a lovely turn around the town with me gapping in awe at all the old buildings. too bad there were no pictures since i did not bring the camera along.

the next day before heading back to KL, we of course took the chance to visit the famous drawings that are scattered around penang town. absolute LOVE! we also visited ‘penang batik museum’. do go! entrance was only RM5.

to see these drawings, you would have to park your car at some road side and walk around armenian street. in fact, to hunt for these drawings, you are required to move from one location to another. and best of all, these drawings are hidden in spots you’d never thought anyone would pass by. there are some people that took the easy way that is to go around the beca because most of our pakcik and uncle becas oledi know where the drawings are. however, me and my hubbybuddy walked around under the extreme hot sun. needless to say, we enjoyed it. oso feel puas hati lah becos oredi see those drawings.
